Hornblower, John James Audubon, NY

Propspeed was selected by Hornblower Cruises & Events New York as the coating system for the John James Audubon, a 125’ cruise and dinner boat berthed on the Hudson River in Lower Manhattan. The twin 48” 4-bladed propellers were coated in Propspeed under the supervision of Mark Billingsley, Oceanmax’s East Coast Technical and Sales Support Manager as she sat in dry-dock at the Yank Marine facility located in Tuckahoe, New Jersey.

Mark supervised the application that was completed by both Yank Marine and Hornblower personnel. Also in attendance and lending his support to the application was Steve Grivnovics. To date Propspeed has completed numerous projects with the Hornblower fleet in San Diego and San Francisco, but the John James Audubon is the first for Propspeed with their New York fleet. We believe the New York office for Hornblower will soon realize the same benefits on the JJA as has their counterparts have in California on other Hornblower vessels.
